I grew up interpreting my dad through my imagination. In my head, he was Superman. But as I grow older, I realize he is a lonely man whose only relief in life are cigarettes. He tells me he lives to work; I imagine he feels trapped. By using a mixture of video and paper puppetry, of real and fictional, I hoped to convey a sense of magical realism; as if the dialogue in the short film is one my dad would hold in his head.
